Building Services 1 (QSB 1714)

Building Service is about the principle services that usually run in the building which we are not realized in our normal life. From the building services, I learnt about the information of water supply, liquid waste disposal, storm water management, security services and ventilation system.

My assignment topic is about the telecommunication system in high rise building. Our group chose Taylor’s University Lakeside Campus as the case study. Mr Zaini introduced us about the PABX system in this university. Through the case study, I can able to see the actual PABX system running instead of read from the book.

Besides that, we prepared a video and showed the video to the course mates during the lecture class. Because of the video presentation, we can know about the others system running in a building such as storm water system, ventilation system, hot and cold water system. All the course mates did a very well job in video presentation.

From this unit, I learnt a lot about the services in a building. I think it will be really helpful in the future study.
